X‑Platform Applications: Overview
An Application provides access to primary components and functionality for X‑Platform and X‑Platform Flows. It usually serves to provide key features that enhance collaboration, communication or data collection.
An Application is always based on a Channel template, which determines the methods it uses to integrate with a Uniphore product.
The following Applications are provided out-of-the-box to all customers:

Note
You can see which Applications are available to your account by viewing Subscription details from the Account Information page.
All out-of-the-box Applications use default X‑Platform security settings, and come with a generated application key. You can change default Application settings at any time to suit your requirements.
About the Applications Page
The Applications page displays the list of all Applications that are configured to work with your account and enables you to add new Applications or change the details and functionality of existing Applications:
![]() |
Item | Feature | Description | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Add New Application | Enables creation of new Applications for the current account. | |
2 | Applications List | Displays all Applications for the current account, providing key details as well as their activation status.
The list is sorted by Name in ascending order by default. You can also sort the list by other fields by clicking on the relevant column heading, in ascending or descending order. | |
3 | Search Box | Enables searching the list for any Applications with field details that match the text entered. | |
4 | Activation Status | Enables you to change the current activation status of an Application.
A green toggle indicates the Application is Active and is able to communicate with the X‑Platform Server. When the toggle is red (i.e., not selected), the Application is Inactive. This means that the Application's key is disabled and users are unable to access Flows or features using that Application. Basic Applications, like the X-Console and the Designer, cannot be toggled to Inactive. |
