Add Agent Workstations Using Ekisa

Adding an agent Workstation to your screen recording system is a two part process:

Install the Ekisa screen capture software on each PC (Workstation) that you want to add – Install Workstation ScreenLogger.
Configure the ScreenLogger software on the Ekisa Server to enable the agent Workstation for screen recording – Configure Ekisa.

Note

If you have screen recording limited to a specific AD group, you will need to add your agent to the group in order to see their screen recording in U-Capture.

Install Workstation ScreenLogger

The Ekisa Workstation ScreenLogger performs the screen capture during a call and streams the data to the Ekisa ScreenLogger server. To install the software on a Workstation to be recorded:

Run the EkisaScreenLoggerWorkstationInst installer on the Agent's PC. Simply follow on-screen instructions to install the service.
Set the Configurator Name to the FQDN of your Ekisa Server – the server should be on the same domain as the Agent's PC in order to record the screen – leave the port set to 4489.

If you do not have the installer, please contact Uniphore for help, or you can search for the files on an existing PC that's already being recorded.

Configure Ekisa

Once you have installed the Ekisa Workstation ScreenLogger on a PC, the Workstation will be automatically detected by the Ekisa Server – you now need to configure the Workstation in the Ekisa ScreenLogger Management Studio.

To configure the Workstation in Ekisa:

Open the Ekisa ScreenLogger Management Studio on the Ekisa Server. Login using your Ekisa administrator account details – your Installation Engineer will have provided this information during install, but if you don't know yours, just contact Uniphore for help.
To record an Agent's PC, you need to move them from the Unassigned list into the system. Either:
1. Click the Tree View tab, expand your lists, and then drag and drop your agent Workstation from the Unassigned list into the ScreenLoggerSystem > Agents list.
2. Click the Agents tab, search for the required Agent, then click Unassign in the actions list on the left.
Your agent should now be showing in the ScreenLoggerSystem > Agents list in the Tree View tab.
