Creating Flow Hierarchies with Folders
Note
Folders are relevant only for Flows that are published to Agent applications. Categorizing published Flows is not relevant for other application clients.
Folders enable an Admin to organize Flows published to an account in any hierarchical structure that is useful for the company or its Agents.
In addition, X‑Platform allows you to assign the same Flows to multiple Folders, making it easier to reuse them in different contexts. For example, a Flow that allows a customer to check their balance could be placed inside both an Account Inquiry folder and a Payment folder.
You access the Folders page from the Resources menu of the X-Console.
About X‑Platform Folders Organization
![]() |
X‑Platform Folders are organized in two levels: top-level folders and child folders. The base node of the Folders tree is called the Root. All top-level folders are child folders of the Root. The home folder is where all published Flows will reside by default. Except for this folder, each top-level folder can hold any number of child folders (and these child folders can also hold their own child folders).
Once additional top-level folders and child folders are created, a Flow can be moved (or copied) into any these other folders. Above is an example X‑Platform Folder structure with one additional top-level folder (i.e., Media) that contains one child folder (i.e., Tutorials). The Videos Flow has been moved from the top-level home folder to this child folder for quick access by Agents there.
